Jim Krantz (1955) was born in Omaha, NE and lives in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

In addition to producing award-winning photography for a global roster of clients, including Nokia, Wells Fargo, The U.S. Army and more, Krantz has devoted much of his career to capturing the American west, a sliver of the United States that, for so many, encapsulates its history and spirit at its purest. The lauded commercial artist, whom Communication Arts profiled in a recent cover story, is also a fine artist. He’s been honored by the likes of Communication Arts, The American Photography Awards, The Art Director’s Club and The Lucie Award’s highest honor the IPA 2010 Photographer of the Year.
