02.2020 - We have learned with great sorrow that our highly esteemed and long-time representative for Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, Fred Zhou, succumbed to cancer in Beijing today. All ALPAs are deeply saddened and mourn for a dear friend.

In 1999 Fred took over as ALPA representative for Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao and later also Taiwan. As a trained electrical engineer, he had a proficient analytical approach and was always thrilled to share his knowledge in photography with customers and friends. These skills, together with his patient, helpful and friendly nature, earned him the honorable nickname "teacher." As "Mr. ALPA China," Fred and his team have rendered outstanding services to ALPA. His grievous loss leaves a significant gap in the ALPA family.

Fred leaves behind his wife and son. We will always keep Fred in honorable memory.
